This painting is of an unyoked oxen, that I came across on a historical farm in my area of the American Heartland. I painted him into a quiet pastoral scene from my imagination. I most often work from memories of scenes that I love from the country. This piece is painted in acrylic on stretched canvas and measures 20” x 16” x .75”, with the scene continuing around the gallery wrapped sides of the canvas. It is wired to hang, so that no framing is necessary.
